Holmwood House, Glasgow
Holmwood house is said to be the finest example of a residential house designed by the Architect Alexander "Greek" Thompson.  The house was built in 1858 for James Couper, a wealthy paper manufacturer.  The house retains much of its original interior design and was bought by the [url=https://www.nts.org.uk/visit/places/holmwood/]National Trust for Scotland [/url] in 1994.  Some say that the design of this house may have influenced people like Frank Lloyd Wright.
