Auchinleck House, Ayrshire
Built between 1755 and 1760 by Alexander Boswell, 8th Laird of Auchinleck. The design is similar to that of the nearby, much larger, Dumfries House. But the architect of the building is unknown, it is thought it may have been designed by Lord Auchinless himself in cosulation with others. The house has been fully restored and is now in the hands of the Landmark Trust.
