Pollock House, entrance
In 1966 Mrs Anne Maxwell Macdonald, the 11th Baronet, gifted Pollock House and the 361 acre estate to the city of Glasgow. In 1998 management of the house was passed on to the National Trust for Scotland, which seems appropriate since Sir John Stirling Maxwell was a co-founder of the National Trust in 1931.
