Auchincruive House, Ayr
A former country house built in 1767 by Richard Oswald. In 1925 the estate was sold by the Oswalds to a local farmer, John Hannah, who bequeathed it in 1927 to the secretary of State for Scotland for use as an Agricultural College. The college has now moved to a new Campus in Ayr and the plan is to convert this building, now called Oswald Hall, into a hotel.
