Over looking Iona Abbey
One of Scotlands most sacred sites. This is where Christianity was introdiced to Scotland by Columba when he came here from Ireland in 563. He founded a monastery here which spread Christianity among the Picts and Scots. Much of todays Abbey dates from the 15th century but it was abandoned after the Reformation until being restored in the 20th century.
