Glasgow green is Glasgow's oldest park, its history can be traced back to 1450 when James II granted the Green to Bishop William Turnbull for use as common grazing ground. The present layout dates from the early 19th century. This view is looking west, the tower block on the left is on the south side of the Clyde which runs behind the trees. The shadow on the right is from the 44 metre high Nelson's Monument.
