Inveraray Castle, Loch Fyne
The Castle you see today was built in 1746 and replaced an earlier 15th century Castle. The village of Inveraray was demolished and rebuilt a short distance away as a new "planned" village so as not to spoilt the view from the Castle. It has been the seat of the chiefs of Clan Camblell since the 18th century. The Castle and grounds are open to visitors in the summer months.
