Duff House, Moray
Built in 1740 for William Duff of Braco the house has had a varied career after the Earls of Fife moved out in 1903.  It was used during the war as a camp and PoW camp and badly damaged by a bomb 1940.  It later became a Hotel and santatorium.  In 1956 is passed into the care of the state and in 1995 became part of the National Galleries of Scotland.
