Cairnholy I, chambered Tomb
The evening sun casts shadows at Cairnholy Chambered Tomb on the gently sloping hills above Kirkdale Glen. The tomb dates from between 4,000 and 6000 years ago. The curving facade of standing stones form a backcloth to a forecourt in front of the tomb and it is tempting to this tomb as a focus for ceremonies.
