Keiss Harbour, Caithness
The small village of Keiss lies just north of Wick. This harbour was built in 1820 to the design of James Bremner, a famous engineer and ship wreck raiser who lived locally. The warehouse on the right was built 10 years later to store goods and fishing gear. By the mid 19th century a fleet of 49 herring boats sailed from this harbour.
