Barrhead's Nuclear Bunker, Fereneze Hills
This left over from the cold war is an underground bunker used by the Royal Observer Corps, a voluntary organsisation who would have had the job of monitoring fall-out after a nuclear attack on the UK. Hundreds of identical ROC posts are located all over the UK, the ROC was disbanded in 1992 and the posts abandoned. For more information see www.subbrit.org.uk.

Had I discovered this edifice and not known about the nuclear shelter, I would have guessed it to be an outdoor "Roman cludgey".
