The falls of Measach
The Falls of Measach are about 12 miles east of Ullapool in the Corrieshalloch Gorge. The Gorge runs for about a mile and is one of the best examples of a box canyon in the UK, it is also a nature reserve run by the National Trust for Scotland. The falls drop about 150ft, if you look closely at this picture you'll see a suspension bridge above the falls that gives an idea of their scale. The Bridge was built by John Fowler who also played a part in the design of the Forth Railway Bridge.
