Former tram line, Moss Park Boulevard
This strip of grass that runs parallel to Moss Park Boulevard was the route of the old tram lines. Glasgow and the surrounding area had an extensive tram network, some of it on tracks separate from road traffic like this one. From 1949 to 1962 the tram network was gradually phased out, a decision that today seems short sighted. Map location.
