The Gorbals, 2007
The name Gorbals conjures up many images of Glasgow. It has a reputation as being a deprived violent slum area of Glasgow. Many attempts have been made to improve it, these tower blocks date from the 1960's. they were well intentioned but merely created new problems. Since 1993 many have been demolished and another regeneration project is under way creating new lower density housing.
