The Auld Kirk, Alloway, 2019
The Auld kirk is thought to date from 1516 although there may have been a building here much earlier. It was abandoned in 1690 and has been a ruin ever since. Its claim to fame is that the graveyard was the setting for Robert Burn's Tam O'shanter written in 1791.
