Pendolino High Speed tilting Train, Glasgow Central Station
A week after I took this picture Richard Branson launched his 'high speed' train service from London to Glasgow but didn't dwell on the fact that due to lack of investment in infrastructure the train can't do its full speed of 125mph beyond Manchester. He also didn't mention that tilting trains ran on the west coast line 20 years ago, the British designed APT was cancelled and now resides at the National Railway Museum in York. The Pendolino is built by Fiat of Italy.
