The Anderston Centre
These Concrete Tower Blocks formed what was part of The Anderston Centre which was opened in 1973. It had shops, Office Space, Car parking and a Bus station. It all seemed like a good idea at the time but proved to be too far from the city centre for shops, most of which quickly closed or were never occupied. The over all design was an unattractive concrete jungle. The Bus Station closed in 1993 and was demolished, the green buildings have replaced some of the less attractive concrete offices.
