The rear of the old fish market, Glasgow
The view on Clyde Street of the former Glasgow Fish Market. Built in two stages between 1873 and 1889. Since closing as the fish market it had a chequered history. An attempt to re-invent it as The Briggait shopping centre in 1988 eventually failed and it lay empty until being re-incarnated as an Arts Centre in 2010. This side of the building was painted at one time and it looks like the underlying stone hasn't faired well after the paint was removed.
