Barr, South Aytshire
Barr is a small village in deepest Ayrshire, you'll never pass through it unless you deliberately seek it out, its not on a main road to anywhere. Its worth a visit though, it dates from the 17th century and is thought to have been established by smugglers who smuggled into secluded bays on the coast and then moved along the nearby 'raiders road'. This view is looking along Stinchar Road with the fountain on the left. Map location.
