Stumpy Tower, Girvan
Originally built in 1827 as a jail with a steeple and clock tower. The two cloors below the clock face had prison cells. It was used as a jail up until the 1870's. In 1908 the buildings around were demolished and the McMaster hall was built around the tower, that burned down in 1939 and was later demolished leaving old Stumpy standing alone as a landmark.
