Kilchattan Bay, Isle of Bute
Kilchattan Bay consisted of a few fisherman's cottages until 1840 when the Marquis of Bute established the Kilchattan Bay Tile Works in 1840.  A pier was opened in 1880 and was a popular destination by the Clyde Steamers until the 1950's when it was closed.
