A view of the Bill Struth main stand dating from when the stadium was built in 1928, at that time the ground had a capacity of 139,000. Ibrox been greatly developed since then, the biggest difference being the laws introduced to force stadiums to be all seated which means today the capacity is nearly 52,000. in 1987 this stand was given a catagory B listing in view of its architectural importance.
