Ruins of Tantallon Castle
Tantallon Castle is unique in that it only has this one defencive wall. The castle sits on top of cliffs on a promontory of land protruding into the Firth of Forth. This huge wall is all that is required to secure the castle. In its 300 year history it endured three sieges. [url=http://www.streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?X=359592&Y=684960&A=Y&Z=120/] Map location.
