The Dunmore Pineapple, Airth
Built by the 4th Earl of Dunmore as a retreat or folly where the garden in front could be admired.  the pineapple stands 45 feet high with the masionary cantilevered producing a realistic effect of leaves and fruit.  By 1970 the garden was over grown and the building in danger of collapse.  In 1974 the countess of Perth gifted the building and gardens to the National trust who in cooperation with the Landmark Trust restored it.
