Southerness Lighthouse, Southerness Point

The oldest surviving complete lighthouse in Scotland, dating from around 1748. It stands on Southerness point which extends out into the Solway Firth. At high tide it is surrounded by the sea. It has been unused since the 1930's. Map location.
