Iraqi Supergun segment, Duxford, 1992
A segment of the Iraqi supergun. This was a project that Saddam Hussein started in 1988 to build a series of "superguns". The design was based on research done in the 1960 Project HARP led by Canadian artillery expert Gerald Bull. The project came to an end when Bull was assasinated in 1990. Many parts were built in the UK by Sheffield Forgemasters and others.
