The Glasgow Royal Infirmary
Situated next to the Cathedral it has been at this location since since 1794 when the first building was designed by James Adam. This was replaced in 1914 by a much larger building, said to be the largest public building in the UK at the time. Since then many additions have been made, the ultimate plan was replace all the older buildings completely in phases but that seems to have stalled along the way somewhere.
