A view of Crofthead Mill from Fereneze road

The modern houses immediately behind the mill stand on what was, I believe, the former spool turning dept of the mill which was demolished in the 1960's. The terraced houses at the top of the hill are the housing that was built for the large number of mill worked that came to the village in the early 20th century.
