The new and the old. At the time this photo was taken in 1991 Ark Royal was one of the Royal Navy's newest ships, having been comissioned in 1985. But by 2011 she was in a scrap yard in Turkey, HMS Victory remains the oldest commissioned ship in the Roal Navy having been comissioned in 1778.
