As you walk round the town of Gretna today you will see much of the architecture dates from the same period in the early 20th century. During World War I Gretna was rebuilt as a dormitory town HM Gretna, the munitions factory that was built nearby. This was the cinema, it was open in 1916 and could seat 750 people.
