The ruins of Newark Castle, Fife
The Castle sits just to the south of the small village of St Monans on the Fife coast. Its thought there was a castle here as early as the 13th century, at which time the Scottish King Alexander II spent some of his childhood there. The ruins you see today date from the 15th century.
