Grumbeg, Loch Naver
The ruins of the small settlement of Grumbeg.  Between 1814 and 1819 all its residents were forced off the land to leave it free for the grazing of some 2000 sheep.  Between 1819 and 1820 around 5000 people were removed from the Sutherland Estates with remarkably little resistance, many left Scotland for NorthAmerica never to return.
