A view looking west from the rather muddy foreshore of the Clyde at Dumbuck. On the extreme right is the Dumbuck Quarry, right of centre is Dumbarton Rock and Castle, in the centre on the opposite bank in Langbank. A Crannog was discovered on this muddy stretch of shore, it included a dock with intact log boat dating from around 200BC.
