Bothwell Castle
The impressive south tower of the 13th century Bothwell Castle. Construction was started in the late 1200's but was never completed to the intended design due to repeated siege and invasions of Scotland. Most of what stands today was completed by the Earls of Douglas around 1400. The Castle is built on a cliff over looking the river Clyde and is without doubt one of Scotland's most impressive Castles.
