Trident warhead bunkers, RNAD Coulport
Just below the watch tower in the centre of this photo you can see the bunkers built to hold the warheads for the Royal Navy Trident missile submarines.  There are 16 in total, although the warheads are built and maintained in the UK the Trident missile are taken from the US navy 'pool' of missiles and also serviced in the US, it does beg the question as to how 'independant' our independant 'deterrant' is.
