Wee Cumbrae Castle
A view of the Castle on Castle Island, Wee Cumbrae, taken from the well kept gardens of the mansion house. The Castle dates from 1527 and was burned by Oliver Cromwell in 1650. During WWII it had (along with portencross castle) had a concrete roof installed I believe for anti-aircraft guns.
