The Hall, The Merchants House, Glasgow
This room has a Neo-Baroque style with the walls covered in dark Jacobean style panelling.  The walls are hung with former Lord Deans and Benefactors, the plaques lower down record legacies to the house.  The Merchants house is a charity that dates from 1600, this particular building was opened in 1877.  The original Merchants gained their wealth from the import of substances such as Tobacco.
