Castle of St Johns, Stranraer
Located in the town centre of Stranraer, it was build in 1510 by Ninian Adair, a powerfull laird of Wigtonshire.  Between 1815 and 1907 it was used as the town jail.  The cast-iron drinking fountain in the foreground was made by Walter Macfarlane & Co in 1897 and was erected to commeorate the reign of Queen Victoria.
