Gourock Bay
Overlooking Gourock Bay from Tower Hill. Battery Park is in the centre of the photo, formed from landfill when the railway was constructed. It gets its name from the fact that in the 18th century there was a gun battery called Fort Matilda nearby, that site is today occupied by HM Coastguard. The buildings of the former Torpedo factory, now warehouses are immediately behind the park. In the distance you can see the wreck of MV Captayannis which capsized in 1974.
