The Russian Sailing Ship, Mir, Tall Ships Race 2011, Greenock
The Mir, meaning World or Peace, was built at Gdansk in Poland in 1987.  She is one of the fastest saling ships in the world displacing some 2400 tons.  She can carry a crew of up to 199 and is seen here in July 2011 during a stop over at Greenock in the Tall Ships race of that year.
