Blackness Castle
This view of the courtyard inside Blackness Castle shows that the entire Castle is built on a rocky outcrop that's juts out in to the river forth. If you watched the television series "Outlander" then you might recognise this scene as the castle was used as one of many locations around Scotland. The castle was used to portray Fort William Castle which today is just a few walls across from a Tesco car park, not an ideal location.
