The white house on the right is the birthplace of the famous Scottish Author, J. M. Barrie in 1860, probably best remembered as the creator of Peter Pan. He died in 1937 and is buried in Kirriemuir. The house is now owned by The National Trust for Scotland and is open to the public during the summer.
