Most people take the A82 along the west shore of Loch Ness, but I'd recommend the smaller road along east side. It mostly follows the route of one of General Wade's military roads and isn't so busy allowing you to stop and take in the views. Loch Ness is low down behind the hills on the left here, Loch Mhor is in the distance on the right. Map Location.
