This might seem like an odd thing to have at a garden Festival but one building had some examples of Industrial products made in Scotland. This one is an ND:YAG Medical laser system manufactured by Pilkington Medical Systems in Clydebank. It could deliver up to 100W of laser power down a fibre and endoscope to treat stomach Ulsers amongst other things. It required a 3 phase electrical supply and water cooling, as we used to say, it mixed electricity and water and produced light.
