Shieldaig Island
Looking out to Shieldaig Island from above the village of Shieldaig.  Shieldaig War memorial is on the right.  The island is covered in mostly Scots Pine that are thought to have been planted in the 1870s to provide poles for drying fishing nets and masts for fishing boats.  Since 1970 the island has been in the care of the National Trust For Scotland and is now a haven for wildlife  [url=https://streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?X=181808&Y=854295&A=Y&Z=120/] Map location. [/url]
