Main Street, Forres
Forres is one of Scotland's oldest towns, having been a Royal Burgh since 1140. It once had a castle but no traces of it remain. Today it is by-passed by the main trunk road to Inverness but is well worth making the detour for a visit. The tower here is the Tollbooth with the Mercat Cross in front.

Thank you for your lovely photo of High Street, Forres. My parents were from there and I knew it well.
