Bells Bridge, River Clyde
The Bells Bridge was built for the Garden Festival in 1988 as a means for getting people across the river to the entrances. The plan was always to leave it as a legacy from the festival. It can swing open from the centre to allow larger boats up and down the Clyde. It was named after Arthur Bell & Sons Whisky Distillers who sponsered it. Note the Crowne Plaza Hotel still under construction in the background.
