Kirmadrine is located in the ancient parish of the Rhinns of Galloway. This chapel dates from the 19th century but the original one it replaced dates from the 13th century. This area is thought to be one of the earliest Christian communities in Scotland, inside the porch behind glass there are carved Christian stones that date from the 5th century. Map location.
