Dounreay Shore Test Facility, Caithness
The STF is part of the Vulcan Naval Reactor Test Establishment at Dounreay.  It is operated by Rolls Royce on behalf of the MOD.  For over 40 years this is where all the Reactors for Royal Navy submarines have been developed and tested.  The building currently holds the Core H reactor for the new Astute class of Attack Submarines.
