Marygate, Berwick Upon Tweed
Although Berwick Upon Tweed is on the English side of the border, it has changed sides so often it almost feels like a part of Scotland. Over the course of 400 years the town changed hands between England and Scotland more than a dozen times until in 1482 the Duke of Gloucester recaptured the town and it has remained English since then.
